Description

Improving Reading Fluency supports educators in defining, assessing, teaching, and integrating reading fluency cross-content and grade levels. Educators will understand, evaluate, and practice practical, content agnostic reading fluency strategies to assist learners in improving reading fluency.

Objectives: Upon completion of this offering, participants will be able to:

  1. DEFINE the purpose and importance of reading fluency.
  2. UNDERSTAND and IMPLEMENT efficient and effective assessment and monitoring of reading fluency.
  3. EVALUATE a variety of explicit reading fluency instructional strategies and routines.
  4. CREATE a plan to integrate fluency strategies and routines in the classroom

  • February 12th (8:30-3:30pm CT) - Facilitated Training (Bismarck OR Minot)
  • March 4th (9:00-10:00am CT) - Implementation Support Session #1 (virtual)
  • March 18th (9:00-10:00am CT) - Implementation Support Session #2 (virtual)
  • April 1st (10:00-11:00am CT) - Implementation Support Session #3 (Virtual)

Participants are required to attend all sessions in the series. Virtual Links will be shared upon registration.
