B-HERO - Relationship Mapping Facilitator Training - April/May, 2024

Tuesday, April 9, 2024 (3:30 PM - 4:30 PM) (CDT)

Description

Join the B-HERO team in this three-part learning series to provide participating staff the confidence to facilitate the Relationship Mapping strategy to track student relationships. Relationship Mapping is a protocol developed out of the Harvard Graduate School for Education, designed to support school staff in mapping the relationships they have with students in their school. By considering all students in the building, staff can identify trends in data, including which students are at-risk with few connections, and which students are not connected to their school community. Schools can use this protocol to identify youth in need of connection and to create plans to ensure every student has at least one trusted adult in the school building. For additional information about the Relationship Mapping protocol, please visit the B-HERO website here.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the Relationship Mapping process, including why collecting student data on relationships is valuable.

  2. Facilitate the Relationship Mapping protocol.

  3. Support school staff in analyzing mapping data.

  4. Create a plan to progress monitor Relationship Mapping.
